Sustainable Actions

Our lodge employs only the local community to assist in the economic development in the Mamori river area.

In addition to the employees working at the Dolphin Lodge as cooks, chambermaids, guides and boatmen, there are guided tours to some local native houses.

The local people receive tourists in their homes to get to know different cultures and to help their family income, which comes mainly from rural work and social program benefits.

In 2015, the Sumauma lake was annexed to the Dolphin Lodge’s territory in order to preserve the wildlife, especially capybaras.

Other measures implemented:

Excursions of low environmental impact;

Wildlife for observation only;

Proper garbage disposal;

And reduced use of plastics.
